In Paris, it was June 4, 1899, when he inaugurated the statue of Charles Fourier on the Boulevard de Clichy. By the sculptor Emile anarchist Derr, the monument was the result of a subscription started three years earlier by members of the School's Office and the Union Falansteriana, which benefited, inter alia, the contribution of cooperative production and consumption, as well as some feminists. The statue then, like many of the French capital during the Nazi occupation, was pulled down and melted. He remained just the base. Until March 10, 1969, when a replica plaster bronzed, not quite identical to the previous statue, was placed on the base by a group of people who also affix a plaque: "To Charles Fourier , the rioters, rue Gay-Lussac. " The second statue is removed, two days later, police said. Lately, there emerged a sort of rectangular glass, with a scale, by a group of artists, the Group Airborne. Evidently, the "dreamer sublime" continues to dream.
