Forse, in un certo senso, the opposite is true. If we reverse the temporal order, for example, before 6 April, immigrants were concentrated in areas most heavily at risk in dilapidated housing stock (almost always non-proprietary), as shown by the data on respondents' current housing: 42.3% of Italians achieved with surveys of households living in the same pre-earthquake, compared with only a 16.6% of foreigners in the same condition. We get a confirmation with the data on the classification of the dwelling as a result of expertise is provided by the fire: 28.1% of Italians had reached a listed house A, then fit for use, compared with 19.6% of foreign while And for the houses, we find 33% of Italians and 38.7% among foreigners.
The earthquake ruined, among other things, the labor market, even in the absence of adequate measures to prevent the collapse of the economy, with a range of issues particularly within the private business and thus one of the self-employed and subordinates. Again we see that the foreign population, which lies mainly within the private sector and domestic, has suffered most from the effects of the earthquake, whereas only the people who were employed at the April 6, we observe that 50.5% of immigrants in the same employment (compared with 62% of Italians), 17.8% are another job (6.7% Italian), the 3.87% is redundancy, (2.1% Italian) is now 15.7% unemployed (7.28% Italians). These data are alarming and it is right to stress that the comparison can not justify minimizing also relates to the work situation of the Italians. However, this does explain a good part of social stress that characterizes this stage of post-earthquake.
We verified such attitudes, such views are emerging among Italians about the immigrant population and the enjoyment of rights in the policies of the emergency. More than 50% of Italians believe that relocation to the housing plan is fair to give priority to compared to the Italian immigrants, also more than 30% believe that the policies of post-quake relief has given more to immigrants than to natives. Since this does not reflect the actual situation, it seems that a higher percentage of 30% is pretty representative of a dilated and altered perception of reality.
Another interesting fact about the distorted perception of the presence of foreigners in our reality, which refers to what sociologists call syndrome siege. One of the signals is the significant gap between the perception of the numerical presence of immigrants and its actual size. He asked Italians to provide an estimate of the percentage of immigrants on total population residing in our territory. Only 32.6% of the population is close to the real data (which is around 6%), while 44.7% indicates a figure between 10 and 25% and 22.6% indicates a higher percentage 30%.
These data are in line with a situation that involves the whole of Italian society, but evidently taking a greater prominence - for their load of potential negative social - within the context of earthquake in which homes, jobs, are the degradation major hot topics of present and future social and political betting. This is because the sense of frustration could lead to discrimination or conflict that could certainly harm the immigrants, but also throw off the locals than searching for valid or at least adequate strategies to solve individual and collective problems. E 'in what is defined as a dynamic social psychology of scapegoating.
Immigrants who lived at the time of the April 6 L'Aquila, contributed to economic growth, development land, the rejuvenation and diversification of social and cultural fabric. Have cried many deaths (23, 7.44% of the total), they knew, as all the citizens affected by the earthquake, the deepest pain. Far from the comfort of the roots, had to develop grief and discomfort with many "ifs" and many "but" in a city and a region where only the case led them and where, however, have invested and continue to do so, with their energies and their future, with the desire to rebuild. Rebuilding together becomes not only possible but necessary, in an idea of \u200b\u200bthat city, with all the difficulties, many pursue.
