This is the story of two mothers who were fighting for the same child. Both believed to have generated and born and claimed motherhood.
Unable to resolve the conflict between them, they turned to the wise King Solomon who, after having heard the arguments of both mother and proposed to solve the problem by cutting the child with a sword in two parts to be divided equally one half for both.
Mother "pretend" he was happy with this solution, while the real one was horrified at the proposal and asked the king not to kill the baby and give it up preferring it over to another woman. King Solomon smiled and understood what that gesture was the real mother, then gave it to him.
Why do you tell this story? Because I, like many mothers today I am faced with this choice.
Today, unfortunately, we have no laws or institutions with the wisdom of King Solomon. The responsibilities and parenting skills, much discussed today, are not born by the imposition of the new law on both parents, soaked from interference istituzionali all’interno del nucleo familiare che, a mio avviso, non fa che peggiorare la qualità della vita dei bambini figli delle coppie separate.
Questa situazione nasce dall’irresponsabilità di molte madri che in passato hanno abusato del diritto di genitore affidatario acquisito dal giudice della separazione e hanno usato i loro figli per ricattare sul piano psicologico ed economico l’altro genitore arrivando, in molti casi, a cancellarlo dalla loro vita. Mi riferisco ovviamente a quei padri desiderosi a partecipare alla vita dei loro figli, quelli disposti a occuparsene rinunciando al tempo libero, sacrificando parte del loro lavoro e degli impegni per dedicare le loro premure e attenzioni alla prole.
